From Delivering Milk to Driving Stories: How Indore’s Ravi Bhaiya Became India’s Favorite Auto Vlogger

In a city celebrated for its bustling lanes and vibrant street food culture, inspiration often moves on three wheels. For years, the steady hum of an autorickshaw engine in Indore was merely the background score to everyday survival. But for Ravi Ratnawat affectionately known to millions online as Ravi Bhaiya Auto Vale that very same rickshaw transformed into a creative studio, a classroom, and a vehicle to rewrite his destiny.
With a 10th-grade education and a smartphone mounted on his dashboard, Ravi turned daily passenger commutes into authentic cultural stories, emerging as Indore’s first viral auto vlogger.

The Early Grind: Paint, Errands, and Milk Crates

Ravi’s journey began far from the digital spotlight. Having completed his schooling up to the 10th standard, he immediately entered the workforce to support his family. His early years were defined by grueling physical labor—first working as a house painter on scaffolds and ladders, and later taking up a job as an office boy handling routine errands.
The pivotal turning point came when he met Shiv Bhaiya, an autorickshaw driver who spent his early mornings delivering milk packets door-to-door across the city. Ravi joined him on these distribution rounds. Watching Shiv navigate the streets behind the wheel, a quiet ambition took root. One morning, Ravi asked a simple, life-changing question:
“Shiv Bhaiya, would you teach me how to drive an auto?”
Shiv agreed, and that practical mentorship set Ravi’s journey behind the handles of an autorickshaw into motion.

The Turning Point: Finding the Lens

While driving an auto provided an honest livelihood, Ravi possessed a creative drive that refused to be sidelined. During a period of illness and home recovery, he spent hours discovering travel creators online and realized that the authentic pulse of Indore could be documented right from the driver’s seat.
Armed with a basic mobile phone and mobile editing apps, he started recording city routes, passenger interactions, and iconic culinary hubs. His breakthrough video capturing the energy and flavors of 56 Dukan (Chappan Dukan) exploded across social media platforms, amassing millions of views and establishing him as an authentic grassroots storyteller.

From Skepticism to Selfies

Pioneering something unconventional rarely happens without resistance. When Ravi first mounted a camera mount inside his auto and began speaking to a lens, skepticism and ridicule came from peers and onlookers alike.
“When I started vlogging and creating content, everyone around me was against it. People doubted me, mocked the camera, and questioned why an auto driver was trying to make videos. But today, those very same people stop my rickshaw just to click photos with me. That transformation is the most fulfilling reward.”

The Legacy: Doing What You Love

Today, Ravi’s auto is far more than a commercial commute vehicle it represents artistic independence and passion. Despite national media features and recognition across prominent storytelling platforms, he remains grounded in his daily routine behind the meter.
When asked about the legacy he hopes to build on ChangeForLife, his message is clear and inspiring:
“I want people to recognize me simply as a person who started doing what he loves, stayed consistent through the doubts, and still continues doing it every single day.”
